Since no one has started a 2023 thread (and I just got a 2023 coin), I am going to start for this year.

If you have a really bad photo it might be helpful if there is a description saying what the coin is.

Indeed way to much background just crop it squarely, you can do that even in paint or a similar primitive program. Maybe also include the date side (it's  a year centric thread after all). 😉

ok for some reason I thought they only used the month of January to make uncirculated sets guess they aren't doing that anymore

As I went to buy some candy, the cashier was 

opening new coin rolls - so, I asked (and got :-) these unc 2 and 1 Groszy coins at the Carrefour in Krakow's central train station last Friday.

Yes it was a 1 euro-coin (100 cents…)) the 1 & 2 cents we do not use anymore indeed. Btw I have a lot of them for anybody who wants them, free.  Pay shipping-fee only.

so many years we don't use the the real coins and banknotes in China….all the thing changed into data, but i like use the banknotes feel like fm whatsapp

I rarely see Denver mint coins this early on the East Coast. From 2022 I still have only seen a Denver 1 Cent coin.

They haven't even released 2023 coins into circulation here in Australia yet. Still waiting for the new King's portrait.

I found this in my change back in February and forgot I had it until now.  It's still the only 2023 coin I've found so far.  Not sure if it's visible in this photo, but it's  slightly different colored compared to other Nickels; I'll chalk it up to damage, but I wouldn't put it past the mint to change the composition of Nickels slightly to try to save money.

I found a 2023 South African 10 Cent coin on the floor of a shopping mall today. It is the first year for our new coinage and this is the first one of them that I've seen.

A friend of mine found this 2023 5 Rand coin today, and has saved it for me.

I got today this 1 euro from Croatia, in a Helsinki (Finland) minimarket.

 Nice coin - that and the previous two. :) 

Today I've received a few israeli coins from a job colleague that returned from a vacation travel.

Among them are two 10 agorot coins of the new type, N#360735 .

According to the Numista entry, this coin is dated 2023.

But another site says 2022, so I went to the date calculator in the old Numisdoc. There, hebraic year 5782 returned as AD 2022.

So I don't know if this photo belong to the 2022 or 2023 thread. I'm posting it here because our catalog says it's from 2023.

Got one more today, Portugal 5 euro cents, from the same colleague that gave me the israeli coins last week.

Got a few 2023 Brazil 10 centavos as change in the São Paulo subway earlier today.

Just found a 5 euro cent from Croatia.

US Quarters and UAE 1 Dirham coins do rarely turn up in place of a 10p coin. 

Back in May I received in change a 2008 Spanish Euro coin in place of a pound coin at college so Yeah it does happen. 
 

Yup - in my change from the local Coop.  Barely used.

Actually the Jewish year (Rosh Hashanah) begins in September and varies from year to year, but usually sometime in September as its 354 days and a 13th month is added in 7 years out of a 19 year cycle.

So infact this coin was minted between Sep 2021 and Sep 2022, so its not 2023.

In fact we are nearly done with 5783 and Rosh Hashanah is on Sep 15th at sundown and year 5784 will begin.

But your answer raises another question: if the coin is 2022 like in other sites, why the hell it was listed as 2023 here???

I found a 2023 South African 2 Rand coin in my change last week. It is, of course, the new type. :-)

Unfortunately that version is a NIFC.

I received the uncrowned circulating version as change from the college vending machine.

Now all small change struck for France fot 2023 are released : 1; 2 ; 5 cents.

Lithuania, 5 Euro Cent.

You can just add the year line without the mintage.

I got these  France  2 euro and 1 cent coins  as change in a supermarket, when visiting Bordeaux two weeks ago
